This place has a great ambiance. It has a small menu of authentic italian dishes and the food is delicious! We were greeted and taken care of perfectly, considering it was a late Saturday night and the place was packed. Everything was great but I’d probably go again just for drinks and have a good time rather than for dinner because the music was too loud to eat and have a decent conversation at a table.

Wow! Great happy hour. The food was fresh and terrific. Started with the grilled shishito peppers and pork belly! The sausage risotto was amazing. Wonderful basement atmosphere! Highly recommend.

If you have not eaten here, you have not lived. We got the happy hour fries and crispy meatballs. Not that filling, but the depth of flavor and freshness is so apparent. We had excellent cocktails and draft beer as well. They also have around 32 draft beers.

Awesome atmosphere. Be sure to make a res if you go. If you don’t you’ll have to find a spot at the bar or fireplace. Both of which offer full service and full menu. My girlfriend and I ate at the fireplace and it was truly delightful. Attentive but not annoying staff. Delicious unique food and drinks. Exciting and interesting people and decor. Truly a well-thought out destination for dining. My favorite touch? The cyclist caps that the kitchen staff wears. Will definitely be going back here and will be bringing everyone I know.

Disappointed. I felt the menu was very limited. Three in our party – each ordered something different. My pizza was a disappointment. Crust not to my liking and too doughy and not enough filling. Underneath the crust was burned. I ordered the side salad, and I didn’t care for the dressing or the greens. But I did like the beets which fell to the bottom of the bowl. The pork sandwich was good, according to my friend. The other friend ordered the chicken salad which came on flat bread, but looked like my pizza dough. She didn’t care for the bread and the salad was just okay.

Phenomenal Restaurant Experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in St. Louis. It was largely because of great places like Basso. The variety of food choice, along with the perfect atmosphere, to the beautiful wait staff and host/hostess–this restaurant has it all! It’s a must while in St. Louis!

Great Restaurant!. I’m a true foodie and was in town for the big game this past weekend. This place has the best menu for anyone who likes variety. I enjoyed every aspect of my experience from the food to the atomosphere. The staff was also very helpful. I’ll be sure to visit when I return to St. Louis 🙂
