Tourist Trap. Near Ste. Genevieve off of I55 about half an hour is Cave Vineyard. This place isn’t worth the write up so instead of telling you exactly about our experience I’ll just get to the point. It’s a tourist trap plain and simple. Do not waste your time and do not waste your money on the wine. If you know anything about wine, you know that what’s being grown there, all over central MO and IL is not being sold or sells very well in grocery stores. The only reason I went here is because I was misinformed about their cave, thinking it was an actual cave with stores one wine in it. It’s nothing more than a trash strewn plastic yard furniture dump in a hole in a hill. Plus stupidly of us we had to buy a bottle to gain access to it when we could’ve just walked down there. So, I was stupid and sacrificed myself to tell you to not do it yourself.
