Def Best Piiza I’ve Ever HAD. Went here last week for dinner. At the bar they have beautiful stained glass. You really must see it if you like amazing artworks. The salad and pizza’s here are one of a kind. The crust is literally cracker thin. It has a nice crisp. And the chef salad was perfect. Great house dressing and plenty of meat and cheese. The portions are huge so you’ll most likely have leftovers to take home and enjoy. They also have a bakery operating in the back of the restaurant and you can smell all the bread and baked goods aroma right when you walk in. The prices are really good for the high quality large portions you receive. This restaurant has been in business since 1902. It’s a true St Louis Classic and it’s located right by Forest Park. Give this restaurant a shot and you’ll be a customer for life.. – Chris

Dirty rude servers dirty plates andloud vulgarities from the kitchen. I recently came in for dinner again, why i do not know. The food never taste the same as the previous visit and i try to put up with the staff praying my meal was as good as the first time. I came in on a Thursday night around 5 pm and was sat promptly. when i was never approached by a server I flagged down a middle aged woman named Sharon i believe. Evidentally her shift was over and she had no time to help me and essentially blew me off. by the time i finally had a server to take my order it was a filthy sweaty smelly black man whom had no business handling food, though he was a nice man and a good server, i was still repulsed by him and he was quite hard to track down when i needed something. At one point I had to get up and go to the bar to get my own drink. The young thin blonde woman was rude and seemed very upset I even had the nerve to bother her and ask for something. The only saving grace for service was some pale spiked hair man whose name i didn’t not catch. He was clearly busy with his own tables, but not to busy for me. i ordered a house salad, garlic cheese bread, and fettucine with chicken. The salad with the house dressing was top notch!! along with the garlic bread, as for the pasta it was more like a bowl of cereal with a few floating noodles and chicken. During this entire experience i was sitting near the carry out area whose door kept being opened and shut. Every single time it was open i was repulsed by a onslaught of vulgar language. This restaurant is one of a kind with its odd problems, and although some of the food is outstanding i would NEVER EVER bring a child with me
Review. Avoid this spot…worst food ever. I would have done better getting a frozen TV dinner. Service was terrible and I think our server continued to leave and was possibly under the influence as well, but nothing was as bad as the food at St. Louis Italian. The temperature of the place was cold so if you do go to waste your money, bring a large coat and hat! Menu items that were kept from Talayna’s are terrible and should be avoided unless you want to become sick.
Don’t waste your time or money.. I was in the mood to try a new place unfortunately I picked the wrong place to try out. Do not wast your time or money. It took them an hour to get our food. When I went to the manager to express my dissatisfaction she treated me like an idiot. There are some great restaurants in St. Louis but this is not even okay.
