I ate dinner here tonight while nearby. This is the old Talaynas and I wanted to see if the food was the same. I had the chef salad w romaine -a combination w ham, etc. The lettuce, red onion, etc were very fresh. With all the cheese it tasted surprisingly good even BEFORE I put the dressing on. It seemed the same dressing I loved and remembered from years ago. On the down side it only had two kalamata olives and 1 pepper. If it had one less olive they would have had to strike the s on ‘olives’ in the menu. Geez! Still, the service was competent and as pleasant as could be. I used to think their deep dish pepperoni pizza was the best in town. Their seafood fettuccine used to be fabulous. They may be worth a try.

The woman server(my bad that I did not ask her name) made my day…she is so joyful, positive and energetic. We requested her to prepare a modified ‘pasta perfecto’ dish for my mom who is vegan, she got us a very different yet impecable amalgamation serving of all kinds of veggies, fettuchini, cream, and basic marinara sauce.Make sure to ask them this dish if you are a vegan!Besides this, the bread basket is so fresh and warm. You wanna enjoy it again and again!The chef came personally and asked us about the feedback of his creation.As always, the barbeque chicken pizza with extra onion topping is an all time favorite! I recommend this place for best food and price in STL! Cheers
