30 minutes for a drink-really!. Recently went on a sunday to catch the cards game and have some lunch-literally took 30 min to get a cold drink in my hand–seemed like the patio was getting all the attention and the folks inside were being ignored-last time there we sat at bar and were really happy-food is really good…..If you want good care-sit at the bar or on the patio-lesson learned……
It had been several years since I had been to Hammerstones. The only thing I could remember was the service was poor. The service was horrible and their limited menu was a awful.
Ehhh. My friends and I have a tendency to frequent this place quite a bit, mainly for the convience of it. When it comes to the food, it’s nothing really spectacular. I really wish they would spice up or expand their menu or something because I feel like there’s not enough choices. It’s a cool place to hangout, but I wouldn’t really recommend the food.
Old Memories of Soulard. When I first encountered this place back in 2007~2008 it was a hip happening Jazz/Blues joint! Mr. & Mrs. Hammerstone (oh who am I kidding) Denny & Lynn were great hosts whom made you feel right @ home always enjoying a good time. Great Food, Menu, Live Music, Shuttles to the Home Games & a Nice dog friendly Patio! What more could you ask for but it to be a 3am bar? I’ll always have fond memories of this Family owned Restaurant. 🙂
Food sucks but it’s a good place for drinks before the games.
Worst Service Around. Their patio is awesome, but their service is ATROCIOUS. Every season when the weather gets nice, I return…and every season I ask myself why I ever came back.
Not impressed with the food or beer selection. I would think being in soulard with and outdoor patio they would have a larger selection of different local breweries. I will not be goin back.
