Disappointed. Went there for the first time tonight. I was told that the squid and shrimp dish was very good and was a large portion. I was charged 15$ for the meal and it only included rice, nothing else! Not even a fortune cookie. To my disappointment the squid was over cooked and very chewy. The portion was pretty small too (and I’m a 115 lb woman and don’t eat a ton of food). Needless to say I’m very dissatisfied. I will not be going back. I feel ripped off on cheap food.

Disappointed. I had heard good things about this restaurant. I ordered the Seafood Soup off of the traditional menu…very disappointing. The soup broth was bland. Very little seafood (two measly little shrimp and a few small mussels) in the soup and overloaded with tofu. On the other hand my wife had a chicken a vegetable dish from the Americanized menu that was quite good.

LOVE IT!. Great service with a smile! I have been there four times and I love the orange chicken. I tried the sesame chicken tonight and it was also good, but they did forget to give us our soups and it was a to go order. Other than that, I do really enjoy their food.

Disappointed! I won’t be back!. Just had lunch there (or at least a 1/3 of our order). My wife and I ordered 2 egg rolls, sesame chicken, and a vegetable entree. Both dishes came with a cup of soup (we chose egg drop). The soup was okay at best (too thick for our tastes). The sesame chicken wasnt anything to order again chicken was very tough, and the sesame sauce had a burnt flavor. The main issue came to light when I had finished my entre and we still hadnt received the 2 egg rolls or the vegetable entre. After sitting at our table for over 30 minutes we informed the waiter that we were out of time and needed to settle the bill. Noting my dissatisfaction, the waiter proceeded to charge me for the items we still hadnt received. I wish Bao Bao good luck

Finally! A Chinese restaurant we can refer people to!. We LOVE living in MO but coming from So CA, we have been pretty disappointed in much of the Chinese places we’ve been to. We don’t mean to compare but it’s impossible not to, especially when you’ve HAD amazing Chinese food. We recently went to Bao Bao’s for the first time and couldn’t believe how fresh it was and how good their sauces were! We actually got a coupon from KY3 and without that, we would never have known it was there. We happened to be going to the movies that day at the Palace Theater so this was perfect timing. Most of the Chinese places around don’t serve Egg Fu Yung so my husband ordered that. I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein and then we both shared. It was so good that when we got home, I promptly bought two more coupons. We asked the waiter about the place. He was kind of shy at first but he opened up as we went along. He said that it has new owners, that they’ve been there about four months. I told him to tell them that we loved it and have a new Chinese restaurant! One thing that was confusing was that the address says it is on Chesterfield Ave but that is just the building’s address, I guess. To get there, you have to turn RIGHT onto the first street, Overland Avenue, where Prima’s Mexican Grill is. It will be at the end of that same building. I hope you like it as much as we do!

Excellent Food!. I ordered the Generals Chicken (Extra Spicy!) It was fantastic. Now I want work my way through their menu – because they have some very unique choices. Highly recommended!

Best Chinese in town. For both Americanized and traditional Chinese food, Bao Bao is hands down the best – best quality, variety & customer service. Good quality chicken (which I normally get), great lunch portions, great find for Springfield.
