Great Vegan/Vegetarian Options. My husband and I went to Cafe Cusco for the first time the other day for a late lunch/early diner. I am happy to say it was a hit. Not only do they offer great non meat options for me, they had lots of variety for my husband who eats EVERYTHING. It’s always fun to try international cuisine and this was truly a treat. They had a good wine and beer selection as well. We ate indoors, but would like to go back and try outdoor dining. Not sure, but we are hoping outdoor dining is non smoking. Looking forward to seeing you again Cafe Cusco!
Real Peruvian food. I lived in Peru for some time so I was super excited to try this restaurant. They serve traditional Peruvian food and drink. It is authentic and delicious.
Try the Tres Leches. I decided to go to Caf Cusco for dinner today. I’m glad I did. The goat burger is my favorite entree. The staff know the menu inside and out. The owner is very nice, and has definitely put a lot of thought into making this place very successful. The tres leches is a delicious dessert. The atmosphere is calming, and the service is excellent. I have had family from out of town drive all the way up just to try this place, and have left satisfied. I credibly would recommend this place to all who haven’t tried it yet.
KC FOODIE. My son is attending MSU and heard good things about this place, but we had a horrible food experience. All the meats were tough including the rabbit I ordered. It was flash fried and it was almost impossible to pry the meat off the bone. The flavor was also not all that impressive. The atmosphere and service were great but I wouldn’t recommend the food. Sorry!
Worth the trip!. Living in the Atlanta area, we are familiar with many great restaurants. We were in the Springfield area visiting family and this restaurant intrigued us. We decided to try it–great decision! The restaurant itself is amazing–the decor was unique and so inviting. We especially loved the booths downstairs. We felt like we were in our own private space. The food was outstanding and so reasonably priced. We had several dishes but especially loved the Tequenos and the Drunken Goat Seco–so unlike anything we had ever tasted before. We met the owners who are as friendly and welcoming as family. If you are in the area, this is definitely worth the trip. You won’t be disappointed!
Great food, service and atmosphere. My wife and I ate dinner at Cafe Cusco. We started out with the Jalea Mixta appetizer. It was amazing! crispy flavorful thinly battered fried seafood. Great dipping sauce. My wifes entree – Shrimp Huacatay. She was expecting to get a stir fry but it ended up being more like a Thai green curry. It was very tasty and there were 10 good sized shrimp in it. I got the Drunken Goat. I enjoyed it, it was very filling and hearty. It seemed kind of like a stew, and it would be a perfect meal to come eat after being out in the cold. loved the variety of menu options, will go again.22 Apr, 2014Great food, service and atmosphere.
