An upscale Mexican restaurant. Food is great, as well as the service, which are expected for such an upscale looking place, which reflects the expectation once you walk into the restaurant. It’s a great place to hang out with friends for food and drinks. Yes, it is Funky, vibey, relaxing and delicious, authentic Mexican!
Love this place. Best guacamole in town. Love the patio and margaritas too. I’ve been to the Branson location too. Springfield was better. A little expensive, but worth it for awesome salsa.
Inconsistent on service and quality. First off, I was ecstatic to learn that CL was coming to Springfield, only to be let down by this restaurants consistent inconsistencies. :(The location in Branson is our favorite and we were warned by staff there that the SGF location would not live up to the same standards as it was owned/ran by corporate vs being locally owned/ran (or vice versa) and they were right on.I would say that we gave the SGF location at least 15-20 visits and chances to be right and it just never happened. Our visit there this past Friday (3/20/15) was our last. From the service from the extremely rude bartender, Wesley to our incompetent waitress, Renee; we decided this would be our last trip to this location.I don’t see how the food quality can differ so much between 2 different locations. Nor do I understand why management allows for so many inconsistencies.
Overpriced. Food is average at best. Prices way too high, little value. Service can be hit or miss. Seems servers spend most of their time visiting with each other. Branson location 10 times better.
Dislike. Branson location is great. The springfield one my wife and I have given 3 chances. Each time the food was below average, one particular time food came out withing 3 to 5 minutes. It had to have been pre done because both dishes were not even Luke warm. We will drive to Branson next time we want Cantina.
Higher price point but a fun environment. They have a great patio and the food has always been good. Good drinks and good salsa and guacamole. There are a number of seedy Mexican joints with cheap buffet style food for all the cheap skates who want to leave dinner with a stomach ache…but this ain’t one.
Soo good!. One of our favorite places to eat! Food is very tasty and excellent quality. The warmed salsa is really good. I get tacos al carbn and my wife likes the salad with mango and chicken. Give this place a try next time you are out for a nice dinner.
