The main thing I like about El Maguey is the consistency. I’ve never had something I didn’t like and the staff is always friendly. I probably average 1 lunch there every week. The tamale dinner may be the best value on the menu. I’m not sure how much it costs, but it is a ton of food. The chips and salsa taste good and it always seems like I get my order quickly.
It took me a long time to try this place since I was always coming to or from softball when I was here, now I come this way just to eat here.Chips and salsa are always consistently good, never have the taste or consistency of having sat out too long.The food is always fast, delivered hot and each item has its own flavor unlike many Mexican restaurants. Portions are very generous for the great prices offered.As a bonus, the large beers are very large and cold.
