Went to lunch today here. There was a group of 9 ladies. They weren’t real busy and seated us fairly quickly. Our waitress was not so friendly or nice for that matter. She would reach across the table to serve beverages instead of walking around and there was plenty of room. One of the ladies didn’t have silverware and waitress was asked to bring her some. Waitress replied, Well it is at the other end of the table have them pass it down. She didn’t refill drinks, if you wanted more you had to ask. When the bills were passed out, she put a pile of them at the end of the table and passed some out. When one asked for the bill, she said it down there and pointed to the end of the table. We have a habit of staying around the table chatting after we are done eating, especially if the restaurant is not busy. Well we stayed and chatted for awhile and I have never gotten such dirty looks from a waitress as she was giving in all my eating out. Needless to say, everyone of us reflected our bad service in our tip. In saying all of that, the food was great, but take a jacket they like to keep the place cold.
Great food and service every time except once our food was about 10 minutes long and they gave us 4 10$gift cards and free desert Love it there
Had lunch at FD’s. The food was good, the waitress did a great job BUT you better bundle up. It’s freezing in there! We asked the waitress if they get complaints about how cold it is and she said they get complaints all the time. She said they tell the manager and they’ll just smile. We were going to get a hot fudge sundae and decided not to because it was so cold in there. We couldn’t wait to get in our SUV to turn the heat on. Well have to wait and go back in the summer. Lol Brrrr in FD’s!
Terrible service, beer was flat, food was fair, place had a fishy smell. I will never be back. Do yourself a favor and go to the Texas Roadhouse across the parking lot.
Even a great restaurant can have a bad day. This is a critical review because expectations from friends and online were high. It is a beautiful restaurant but is not conducive to conversation. The noise level was that of a cafeteria. Tea was great and the white zinfandel was OK but had a sour note. The menu is varied with great choices and good prices. I had shrimp, catfish and corn. Corn was great and the catfish was not muddy flavored but very mild like tilapia. The shrimp was beautifully butterflied but very salty and spicy. I admit I like the natural flavor of the shrimp to shine and cocktail sauce as needed. I removed the heavy breading when I got home and the salt and spice was still evident My husband had steak, coleslaw, and shrimp. Again the shrimp was very spicy. The coleslaw was mild with little spice or flavor. The steak was very disappointing for some of it was tough. Apparently, the spice was forgotten on the steak. The main taste was smoke. It lacked even basic salt and pepper. The service was very good and accommodating.Oh, the fries were forgettable.So, it is very unlikely we will return. I expect the kitchen was having a bad day for the tastes of the food went from bland to overwhelming spicy and salty. Hopefully, for those who eat there in the future, the menu will be executed to perfection.
Every time I have been here the food and service have only gotten better. For my husband and I to eat two meals, an appetizer and he got a drink for under $40 was great. Sometimes it takes while to get a seat since it is always so busy but that is a good problem for a restaurant to have. I even watched them refuse to seat customers when they saw that the floor wasn’t cleaned yet. They really care that everyone gets good service.
I am sorry to say, my husband and I just had a very bad experience at FD today at lunch. We both ordered fried catfish, and couldn’t eat it, the texture was very mushy, I regret not saying something to the server. Now we are both nauseated, and suffering with diahria. I couldn’t find an email address to inform them privately, butI think they sshould know.
