Best steak house in Springfield. Outstanding appetizers, wine selection, seafood and steaks. Pricey but worth it for special occasions or just a really great meal. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and extremely well trained. My wife and I went here on our first date and then got engaged there a year and a half later so it is is hard for me to be completely objective. Very nice, quiet, sophisticated atmosphere. Beware: the appetizers are amazing(especially the calamari) and very large so pace yourself so you do not fill up before the amazing main courses.

Best steaks in Springfield. Don’t forget to surf!

Best steak and pork chop ever! Highly recommend.

Whats up with the mini chocolate chip muffins? The atmosphere is nice. But the food is way overpriced for what you get. With your $50 steak you get a baked potato and a mini chocolate muffin. Yes, one miniature chocolate chip muffin. WTF? How about some bread? And a salad with your $50 steak.

What happened to this place? It used to be my dining and drinking place of choice, but it’s gone downhill. Over the past couple years I was always impressed with the food, cocktails, and more than that: a friendly knowledgeable staff. My servers/ bartenders as of late act nothing short of trailer trash. I used to frequent the Red Room downstairs for a drink and friendly conversation at the bar and as of late been served by people that are maybe 21, with no knowledge or people skills. I’ve even seen a couple bartenders argue loudly and then hug eachother like they’re dating or something. What owners or managers would put up with that? The only thing this place has going for it is excellent steaks, a few good waiters (luck of the draw), and the fact that Metro Grill doesn’t have it together either… Sad, really.

Ugh am I the only one in springfield that thinks this place is a rip?? Time and time again I have been out to dinner here for different occasions and everytime I am left with the same feeling of being robbed. The last time I was there my potato side was burnt and I don’t mean just crispy. Honestly the best part of going there is being drink at the end of it.

I have dined previously at Flame and had a good experience, but tonight was not satisfactory. I had reservations, yet my companion and I were seated at a very exposed, tiny table. We had a nice, male server who did a fine job, but I ordered a rare filet and got a sub-par cut of meat cooked to nearly medium-well. Needless to say, for the price I paid, I expected much more.
