Food was okay but the place was very nice. Love the live fish tank behind the bar. Would be nicer if it wasn’t a buffet with loads of people waddling back and forth.
The only reason I go to this restaurant is for Sunday brunch. It’s a great buffet that goes til 3. It’s a bit pricey but is definitely made up for by the $2 all-you-can-drink mimosas. Sit at the bar with a friend or 3 and enjoy a good brunch, cocktail, and mesmerizing fish tank. Definitely a must if youre on vacation!
Breakfast buffet was awful. Sausage was not cooked all the way. Bacon was soft and mushy. No toast. The biscuits and gravy were horrible as well overall I would never eat breakfast here again. As for dinner they changed all you can eat crab to just Thursdays. Who wants to eat out on Thursday. On top of it all they are charging 28$ instead of 21$ bull crap. This place has gone down in the dumps.
Who Knew. Who knew that the Bass Pro shop has a great restaurant with an awesome salt water fish tank. The Sunday brunch is good and plenty of choices. I enjoy sitting at the bar with one of their great microbrew beers and watch the fish after a long day of shopping inside the store. Love the staff that works there.
Wonderful Dining Experience. This restaurant is located within the Bass Pro headquarters in Springfield, MO. so naturally the scenery is amazing. This restaurant does have a bar & behind that bar is an enormous tank stocked with beautiful fish. They have a balcony where you can enjoy your food & it overlooks the Bass Pro Shop. Interesting view! I visited this restaurant with my husband & our server was very courteous. She paid extra attention not to arrive during our conversations & was very polite. My husband & myself both had the buffet & were impressed. The salad bar looked wonderful & fresh. They had 2 soup options: clam chowder or mushroom bisque. I had the clam chowder & it tasted very creamy with nice big chunks of clam & potato. I also had a corn muffin with my soup & salad. It tasted to me as if it were made from a mix, but still tasted delicious. The buffet also had: rice pilaf, blackened chicken breast, catfish, battered shrimp, sauteed green beans with onions, & red mashed potatoes with gravy. Everything was great except for the catfish. It tasted very dry & I believe it needed to be traded out for something fresher. They had pasta, but I did not try any of it. There is a carving station with smoked ham & roast beef. My husband was very pleased with both of these. I was not happy with 2 of the dessert choices. They had bread pudding with rum sauce & apple cobbler. I am allergic to cinnamon & was unable to have either. I was able, however, to get fresh fruit & chocolate mousse. We had a very nice, peaceful dinner here & would highly recommend it!
It is okay. Buffet is overpriced. It is a step up from Ryan’s. Use to be nicer now appeals to the tourist bus crowd. Go during a slow time and have seafood nachos at the bar. That is the last trace of the original concept which once was a pretty best restaurant.
