Bad service bad food.. Ordered nachos from Maria’s. They came out in less than 2 minutes. The chips were soggy and the cheese wasn’t melted. Almost seemed as If they’d been sitting on the warmer for a long time. Our server Madison came once to drop our drinks off, once to take our order, and once to bring our checks. Which is when I also found out I was charged $4.95 for queso.
Food was sucks. We waited for around 30 minutes and the food treated like generic Mexican at a school or hospital. taco Bell is about as authentic. lol
So-so. I had dinner at Maria’s for the first time last week. I was torn between the seafood enchiladas and the carnitas. I went with the enchiladas and I just wasn’t that excited about the flavor. There was a slight vinegar tang to the dish that didn’t appeal to me and the flavor of the seafood couldn’t fight its way through the cheese sauce. I will reserve judgment, but if I go back I won’t order this dish again. Otherwise the place was nice and clean, service was good and atmosphere was nice.
We decided to give Maria’s a second chance after really bad service and food two years ago. Some food items were okay. The rice was cold and the beans had no flavor. The chicken enchilada was beyond horrible. The reason we won’t ever be coming back is because of the horrendous wait staff. She pretty much threw our bill back at us after we asked to have the enchilada taken off. She didn’t smile once the whole time. Must be a sad place to work at.
Not bad. We used to go to Maria’s a lot before we found Cielito Lindo (which is our new Go-To Mexican). The food was USUALLY very good, but not always. Portions are pretty small, I guess they expect you to fill up on the chips/salsa and soda (The wait for the food was often bordering ridiculous). We almost never had the same server and rarely did we get a good one (I feel like they choose servers based on their body type not personality). We alway had to wait for a table no matter when we came in, but that’s not a huge deal. But then they changed from Coke to Pepsi and that’s unforgivable.
Owners = idiots. Unhappy cooks = unhappy customers. my friends don’t be a jerk. marias is like the kc chiefs…needs better owners
Lots of bad reviews, but I don’t see how you can go wrong with the Sergio. I will admit, the portion size is smaller than it was 10 years ago, but way better than Mexican Villa.
