I was very disappointed in our experience. Our chef took what was apparently some very good quality ingredients and cooked them to death, then doused them in much too much sauce and seasoning. He confused our orders and preferences and generally struggled to finish the meal. I was painful to watch, and worse to eat. Our waiter was like tour bus operator on steroids with only a few seconds to spare at our table. Overall, I felt like this was a tour bus stop restaurant rather than a place to go for an occasion.

My favorite place to eat! Best sushi I have had in Springfield. I go every couple of weeks and have had excellent food and service every time.

My husband and I went here for the first time today. We got there a little before five and was seated right away. The food was really good and the staff were amazing. We had a great time and will surely be back!

Fantastic. Nakato is definitely in my top 5 favorite places to eat in Springfield! The showmanship of the grill masters presents vibrant excitement to the tables, plus showing skills in their speed of delicious cooking. Yes they tend to be ore on the expensive side, but it’s worth it. And DO NOT forget about the sushi menu! The Nakato roll is phenomenal but their are more to explore!

A required visit for any Springfield resident. If you live in Springfield and haven’t eaten at Nakato, you’re missing out on one of the greatest experiences in town. Nakato has two main competitors in Springfield; Hinode, and Fuji. I’ve eaten at each of these places multiple times and can say without doubt that you will likely find Nakato the most entertaining. The chefs are all top notch, and perform some really impressive tricks while cooking your food in front of you. The great sense of humor the chefs carry, along with the perfect atmosphere you’ll find throughout the restaurant all add up to be a fantastic experience that few places in Springfield can rival. The food is where the line becomes a bit blurred between the competition. Each person at the table is first given miso soup and a salad. The miso soup is delicious, and my girlfriend tells me the salad is excellent. She often gets sushi as well, which I’m told is some of the best in town. The chefs have recently started giving everyone a shrimp appetizer as well, which is nice. The rice and noodles are then made, and are excellent. The seafood sauce is extremely good when combined with these. Most customers stick with combination meats of the common choices including chicken, filet mignon, steak, shimp, and salmon. Between the competition, I can’t say the meats are particularly better or worse. They’re all delicious, as you would expect.Price is slightly higher than the competition because the entertainment is slightly better. You get your money’s worth here and will consistently leave happy and (very) full. Nakato is simply a place that you have to visit if you’re in town. 10/10
