We love this place!. This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants. It’s two hours from our home and we still make our way there every now and then… it’s that good.
Not impressed!! many people we know raved about it but we were not happy at all! maybe we caught them on an off day but the food was NOT great & the service sucked! our waitress either had a cold or had some sinus issues cause she was constantly sniffing. this was a big disappointment to us since we were there celebrating our 24th anniversary. I should also say that the restaurant on south national. we won’t ever be going back!!
Perfection!! The staff knows the menu, ingediants, and are very helpful. The food was bliss- one of my new favorite places to eat!
Food was really good but service was pretty poor. Took an hour to get our main entree. Only 2 servers handling the entire downstairs.
Just like Nonna (grandma) makes. Not that I have an Italian grandmother, but if I did, she would think Nonna’s was nearly as good as hers. Just a cute little Italian home cooking spot. Very good food. Not a huge menu, but everything is fresh, well prepared, and delicious. Nothing special as far as atmosphere. Wooden tables………..and, the place was a big loud for conducting business…….but, we managed. It was a business luncheon, and three of us (watching our weight) had the grilled chicken and polenta. Delicious. The polenta was perfectly prepared. The chicken was nicely grilled and still juicy inside. Served with a nice helping of steamed veggies. The 4th in our party had the chicken parm, and he said it was excellent. Very nice, and quick, unobtrusive service……………and for four people for lunch, under $50, including soft drinks and tea. Very nice overall.
What happens when someone with no restaurant experience, and sheer apathy buys a restaurant? welcome to Nonna’s. the food is average, yet a rip-off for the price. the wait staff is equally bland, snobbish, and more concered checking their phones than creating a decent dining experience. this place has changed too many hands in the past few years, and it shows in declining quality, horrid management, and stuck-up wait staff. eat at Bambinos, a real Italian restaurant with fantastic food, and a warm & attentive wait staff
We shared three things; the cioppino, beef tips with marsala, and the special. Truly amazing! Will be back over and over!!
