I have eaten the pasta twice now and the spinach ricotta pizza today. While it was a bit slow getting the food it was well worth the wait. The food is fantastic!
The pizza was good, my server was good, I tried the St. Louis style, the crust is not made in house 🙁 But I really got tired of the owner?? ( can’t believe a rest. Owner would act that way )… He’s rude & lacks customer service, His voice was louder than the music and it got really old hearing him mouth the homeless people he threw out of His resturant and sounding proud that he beat one of them up! To bad,,, if he treats another human that way how can he care about what he serves as food??? I won’t be back

Springfield favorite!!. Pappo’s is my favorite downtown eatery. The atmosphere is great, I always sit at the bar to have wonderful service from the bar tenders. Their menu has unique and interesting pizzas (I suggest steakhouse pulled pork and spicy chicken cholula) with delicious salads and apps. Best pizza in Springfield and a killer bottled beer selection to boot!

Poor service Seemed fine a…. Poor service Seemed fine at first…then the server took our order. 45 min later she apologized for forgetting the two pizzas we requested (we only ordered one). Another 45 min go by and our pizza comes out… It’s not what we ordered. I asked the kind manager if we could get the thin crust version (as we had asked for twice at this point) and he was quick to get our correct order in. We finally got our correct order with no apology from our horrific server. The manager did offer to buy my boyfriend a beer. I’ve worked in the food industry for many years and this was some of the worst service I’ve ever seen. Regardless, I still gave that terrible server a tip on our $40 bill. Oh… And this is the second time we’ve had poor service at Pappo’s.
Feb 6 negative reviews are bunk. Great place. Salads incredible, pizza amazing. Live music sometimes. Feels like a Greektown style Pizzaria. I go for lunch and pleasure. Friends I take love it. So, Feb 6, head on back to Mexican Villa!
