My favorite Chinese restaurant, I’ve tried many items always delicious. Very authentic the place is always packed with Asian exchange students, the best items are off the authentic Chinese menu they have on the counter laying next to the register
Best Authentic Chinese in Springfield. Do NOT order off the English Menu, you will be disappointed because this place is for people who enjoy Chinese food, not Americanized Chinese! I recommend Ordering the Mongolian Beef or Mongolian Lamb, the meat is tender and delicious, the veggies are fresh, and the sauce is flavorful! Order it less spicy if you are afraid of spice! I find the Mongolian Beef or Lamb is large enough to split between 2 people. Great quality of food, if you know what to order!
Yan’s. The service was really slow, but the people working were friendly. No one was dressed very professionally. (The gentlemen working were wearing jeans with holes in them.) I ordered the general chicken to go. I asked for all white meat. The sauce was thin and runny but good. The chicken itself was terrible. It was greasy and chewy. I’ve never tasted anything quite like it. (Not in a good way) I ended up throwing it away, and I will not be going back.
If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Chinese dishes, this is the place to go – just order off the Chinese/English paper menu at the counter. My husband and I have spent more than six years living in China – these dishes are spot-on. Take a couple of friends, order a few dishes and share them family-style – you won’t be disappointed. Mrs. Yan is very helpful and can give you recommendations if you’re not sure what to try. However, if you’re just looking for Americanized Cashew Chicken and crab rangoons, maybe this place isn’t for you. 😉
WORSE CHINESE IN SPRINGFIELD!!!!. The service was the ONLY thing good about this place. The bathroom smelled like, well, what a bathroom would smell like….Had to request napkins to wipe off my own table. What they gave barely filled the plate. Egg rolls were undercooked. The chicken in the cashew chicken was greasy & dripping with it. I only went there because my favorite place, Dragon Inn II was closed for remodeling. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!!
This place has simply amazing food. It is clean and healthy tasting with a feel that makes you know it is homemade. In fact it is so good I ordered a second dish the first time I visited! Definitely worth a try at the very least. Oh and make sure to ask for the authentic chinese menu sometime the things on there are awesome especially the beef and chicken rice plates.
Mediocre. Building is nice and so was the staff.I always get general chicken and crab Rangoon wherever i go. Pros: -The chicken itself was above par. -Carrots and Broccoli in the general chicken (some places don’t do this)Cons:-The general chicken sauce was bland and did not have the best viscosity (not thick enough).-The crab rangoon had a decent taste but it was chewy (stale). -The sweet and sour sauce for the crab rangoon was bland.Other thoughts:The rice was good. Nothing special. Ultimately I ate everything and was not incredibly disappointed but there is room for improvement.
