Not reallly a sports bar. The only games they will play the volume are Mizzou even if Mizzou isn’t playing and there are only 5 customers in the bar watching another game. The manager still won’t turn the volume on. Doesn’t really care about customer service or the fact that there are other paying customers. I wouldn’t go back just for that. Crappy management but nice waitresses.

Six people behind the bar, four sitting at it, have to wait for a drink…….
Good food, terrible service. Harpo’s has a great patio, better-than-average pub food, and bad, bad service. Our office went there for lunch today. We got a table outside immediately, but had to wait 15 minutes before anyone took our drink orders. The waitress didn’t ask us then if we were ready for food, and it was another 15 minutes until she came back– without all the drinks. When our food came, almost an hour after our arrival, a lady in our party discovered a piece of metal wire in her sandwich. Our waitress never appeared again so we could let her know. She never refilled our drinks, and it was a good twenty minutes after we’d finished eating before we flagged her down to get our bill. I think it’s pretty safe to say we’ll be taking our office lunches elsewhere in Westport.
Wow has it fallen!. We used to come here once a week for trivia night…granted that was 4 years ago, but man has this place taken a dive since then. They have great real estate with a huge patio, but it is accompanied by some of the worst service in KC (okay, not quite as bad as Grinders, but they’re definitely competing with each other). Their drink specials are okay, but not clearly advertised. Their servers & manager forgot the golden rule that the customer is always right, and even if you can’t offer them the misleading special, at least be kind about it. The only things I like about this place are their giant drinks, and their huge patio…but it ain’t worth the other shitty aspects.
Um, does anyone actually work there? Both of the folks behind the bar seemed really put out to have to help patrons.
