Not impressed. One individual running the entire place. We had placed an order for carry out and were told it would be 20 minutes but it took twice that. We (and other customers) were given free drinks to ease our frustrations for the delay. Finally when we received our meal, delivered to us in a Kirkland soap box, the food was subpar.
Excellent food and service!! This is a must try. The food is superb quality and value priced. Entrees are $6.50-$8.95. There is not a bad choice on the menu. They bring entrees out as they are ready. This is authentic and well worth it.
Solid Chinese Food.. I got carryout from Peking for the first time today. The crispy meat egg rolls were delicious, the shrimp cakes were a little greasy, but had good flavor. My Szechaun beef was good, although they put my crab rangoon in the sauce and it was completely soggy by the time I opened the box. My friend got the Empress chicken; I don’t normally like deep-fried chicken like that very much, but I have to say it was tender and had good flavor. Nothing earth-shattering, but much better than a lot of places. Overall a good experience and will definately get carry-out from Peking again.
Delicious!. Tasty, inexpensive, friendly service. Out of this world crab ran goon, the Szechwan chicken was very good too, and the Hot & Sour soup is the best I’ve tasted. I’m sure I’ll be back to Peking Chinese many, many times!
Kansas City’s Favorite Local Chinese Restaurant. Just to tell everyone I am not a big fan of corporate restaurants. I travel a lot and it seems like every where I go the local restaurants are disappearing. The great thing about corporate restaurants the food and service is constant from one location to another. Trying new local restaurants are literally a hit or miss. Peking Chinese Restaurant is one of those few hits you will find when it comes to local restaurants. I prefer their homemade crab ran gons and hot and sour soup. The main dishes are very good. My favorite Chinese food has always been the crab ran goons and hot and sour. Happy Eating…
