Be careful. We have dined at this establishment a few times. This last time has almost ruined it for me. We had to ask the waitress 4 times to bring our beverages. Our friend received her beverage in a severely cracked glass. Their upselling is terrible! My husband and my friend’s husband asked for the steak 3 times and were served the filet just so they could charge us more. My friends husbank asked for steak and scallops and received only steak. The food itself was cooked perfectly. But when our bill arrived, they had charged both my husband and I for scallops and the fillet. I had only chicken and my husband had chicken and steak. The difference in price between the two was pretty substantial. And of course they tried to charge our friends for th e scallops when they were not served any. When we disputed, the waitress had to check and re-check her seating card, trying to insinuate we were lying. Not pleased at all with the service we received and we will not be going back any time soon. So a word of warning – check that bill before you pay to ensure they are charging you accurately.
What a great place to relax and enjoy!. I want to thank Asia Sea grill for the fun and laughs at the Hitachi section last nigh for my special Birthday. Our large 15 party is always happy to see you, and your food is always to perfection. Thank you for the special Birthday wish and bang at the end. You are very special to me. We will be back soon.
Here’s the thing…. I like sitting down to raw fish, really dig raw tuna especially. I don’t want it fooled with much and I don’t want fooled with much. Take my order? Bring my food and refill my water glass when needed. Based on those criteria this place nails it. Dead on. The tuna hand roll was just exactly what a tuna hand roll should be. The fish was fresh with a texture only fresh, high quality tuna can have. The rice was perfect and the nori just right. I hate the word but yum. Had the udon and a really tasty veg tempura as well and it was just right. Mrs. Munk; who doesn’t have the passion for asian food especially raw fish was pleased with her dish. A chicken soba and enjoyed the evening. All told a very pleasant experience and I can guarantee I’ll be back.
Sushi good, grill a little boring. We took the family there twice now. (We are a first and second generation Montana family transplanted from Hawaii.) The sushi was good considering we are in the middle of Montana. The service was acceptable. The setting nice. The time the larger part of the family came, they adapted and coped well to the onslaught of 25 people of all ages. The stir fry and grilled meals were consistently on the boring side. I was disappointed (but I have a NYC palate.) Mom was disappointed but she has been cooking similar dishes her way for decades. The grandkids liked what they ordered. If you have a more subtle palate, stick with the sushi.
AWFUL!!!!!. Visited Asian Sea Grill the first time passing through Billings in 2011 and had a so-so experience, so I thought I’d give it another chance. BAD IDEA! The sushi was absolutely disgusting. I took one bite of my jalapeno roll and entertained the idea of spitting it out. Staff was awful, spoke horrible english and couldn’t explain to me what mystery ingredients were lurking in this horrible tuna paste. There was maybe three other people in the restaurant, which should have steered me away right then and there…the place is sure to close down at any given point.
Great lunch specials and super fast. Rolls are always prepared well and the fish tastes fresh.
My favorite. I don’t care what anyone says this is the best sushi in town. Excellent service, awesome environment, and a super friendly staff. I eat here every chance i get.
