Amazing customer service and an old time feeling about the place. Reminiscent of the diners with burgers, shakes and barstools with some class. Took parents and they fell in love with the place. Would be willing to go for the coffee alone and the price is worth it. Eggs Benedict was a little over cooked however having gone multiple times this wasnt something that I normally experienced so for me it doesnt lower rating at all.
Bernie’s is a good honest small town diner. The service makes you feel at home. Efficient waitstaff served us with a smile. Between a lunch sandwich and soup and a breakfast, I had no complaints. The food was reasonably priced and as good or better than what you expect at a diner. Coffee was fine. If you are downtown or staying at the hotel, it was a convenient choice and a pleasant experience.
Had enjoyed breakfast here. I ordered the huervoes rancheros. Delicious. The next day I had oatmeal. I wish they served it with raisins, cranberries or some other dried fruit but it was still delicious with the slivered almonds and brown sugar. And it was a large bowl. My servers were very friendly. It is a bright cheerful place to have breakfast. And the coffee was great.
