I usually love Ciao Mambo, the food is fresh, not spectacular or anything, but usually very good. Tonight’s dinner, however, was a complete waste of money. Service was hit and miss, we had four different servers, and the food was as good as frozen dinner. Time to look for a new place for date night!
Not So Much…. Meh, it’s average chain italian food. The bruschetta was inedible and had to be sent back. The service was slow, though the server was sweet enough. We ordered the pasta ravenna and it was good, just that, good. Additionally, we ordered the Papa Biagio’s Bolognese, which I found to taste a bit like chef- boyardee beefaroni with cheese added to it. Sort of middle of the road and disappointing.
This is my favorite restaurant in Billings. Love, love, love the food! And great desserts too!
4 out of 5. Good food, good service. I love that it’s downtown too. However as far as the service, it’s the restaurant version of the Buckle in the mall.
Great food. Fun atmosphere, great service, great food. Pasta dishes were so good that we decided to return the very next night to try the pizza – which is excellent as well. Will stop by again next time we are in Billings.
Upscale Italian. Tasty desserts and cocktails.
