I don’t know how they managed to open a new restaurant in this town without my knowing about it, but I know about it now and I’m super glad. Good food for a good price and plenty of it. Go hungry. Good kid menu which is always a plus. I had fried chicken and my son had the country fried steak and the shared side, which they serve family style was mac and cheese with bacon. Never a bad thing. Hand made mashed potatoes and rockin’ good gravy that we were all eating straight from the bowl. I also ordered a small bowl of the green beans. Bacon and onion are always good in them, but they use balsamic vinegar in them and it gives them an unusual taste that I was just ok with and the kids didn’t like at all for whatever that’s worth. It also came with some of the biggest biscuits I’ve ever seen and I’m from the South, so that’s saying something. Combined with the good gravy, I’m looking forward to trying breakfast here at some point and I want to try some of the pies at some point too, but ate so much that I was way too full this time. Good service in a cool interior as well will have us going back for sure.
