Dined alone, but awesome meal!. There was only one couple eating when I got there, but it was fairly early (6 pm), so I didn’t think much of it, and once they left I had the restaurant to myself. Good for me. I had one of the best meals of my life and I am something of an expert as a culinarian with over 25 years in kitchens and restaurants, and am a huge fan of Indian food. I have eaten it in several states, most notably in California where there is a rather large Indian population. I had the India Grill Special Dinner. It comes with 6 or 7 wonderful pappadam, one of the best samosas I’ve ever had, tandoori chicken, tandoori tikka chicken, your choice of an entree (I had the Lamb Royal Korma-delicious!) As well as basmati rice, naan, and a wonderful mango custard, the likes of which I’ve never had before, but will order every time I go back from now on. It was a ton of food, but I managed to put a pretty big dent in it…lol! I also ordered the Gulab Jamun, which is a dessert I MUST have when I eat Indian food, and this was one of the best I’ve ever had. It is hard to explain and will sound strange to most people, but it is made from milk solids, so sort of a cheese, but looks like donut holes, served in a warm syrup. Usually it’s just plain simple syrup, but this one was slightly spiced with ginger and other sweet spices. I would go back just for them! Over all, one of the best meals ever, so not sure why I had the place to myself, but not the last time I’ll go there. If I had one complaint, it would be that the prices are a bit high, but it’s not the only place in town that that is the case, and in this case the food is a wonderful example of the art that is Indian cuisine. Wonderfully, and exotically spiced and the only other type of food besides Thai that could make me go vegetarian…lol!
I was glad to find the india grill here in billings. i am a fan of indian food, from eating out and more so, good spicey authentic home cooked indian food. i had lunch at the grill and had a combination plate and an order of samosa. to start with, the young lady that waited on me seemed like she would be happier somewhere besides at work. back to the meal. the samosa would have been fine except the outside seemed as though it had been rolled in salt. the lamb was salty and the chutney was salty. salt is not a prevalent taste in indian food. i do not know what happened in the preparation of this meal. i said nothing to the young lady as i did not tnink she would really care. the prices are a little high for what you get. i was greatly disappointed as i really like good indian food but the food at indian grill did not fill that bill.
The food here was amazing!! I have never had Indian cuisine before and was blown away. We tried several dishes including the Butter Chicken, Seafood Mix Masala, Lamb Masala, and the Tandoori Chicken and I couldn’t get enough of each. The naan was warm and tasted wonderful. I will definitely be making plenty of trips back here!
Great food ate the Sunday buffet the pakoras were excellent hot and fresh the Naan was hot out if the oven best buffet ever butter chicken was yummy !!!

I would say that there food is AWSOME!!!! There butter chicken and chicken tikka masala is the best ive had in a very very long time. The service was excellent!!!! My server was very very helpful and answered all my questions about the menu! I would definately recomend ( :
This is an awful place. Food is tasteless and reheated. Ingredients are not fresh, and the dishes are overpriced. The service is bad and the place itself is dirty. Do NOT recommend.
