Steakhouse delight. Table of 4, we had an appetizer, 3 had steak and 1 had shrimp, and we had dessert in addition to martinis, mojitos, and beer to drink….all was good.
Shabby Treatment. Last September we entered an agreement with Jake’s to have 3 meetings in January, February and March. We were to have the back room to ourselves. At our Jan. meeting, a loud group of 10 people was seated in the room with us. Our poor speaker had to yell to be heard. The new manager was unsympathetic and would not comply with our former agreement. We will be taking our group to a quieter, friendlier atmosphere!Juli Dufresne Gamma President
Excellent. We were visiting in August of 2013 , out from Massachusetts. My steak was delicious. One of the best. Mushrooms also terrific and that really helps make a great steak dinner for me. My wife and teenage son also could not say enough good things about the food. Atmosphere, wait staff—all good. Only complaint is that we had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes. Worth the wait. Good people watching. Nice wine list. Local brews too. Some pretty schmancy cowboy boots too.
Absolutely Awful!!!. Worst steak I have ever had. I ordered the Campfire Steak, a 16 oz bone in ribeye with sauted onions and mushrooms for $36.00. The first steak I got wasn’t even 8 oz., paper-thin, grisly, way past well-done with no onions or mushrooms. The waitress eventually admitted it was the wrong steak and said they would prepare another one. The next one I got was a little bigger but still paper-thin, over cooked with no onions or mushrooms. Not even close to a $36 steak. I’ve had better at Sizzler for $12. The only saving grace was they bought it for me. Probably won’t go back anyway.
Advisory comment. I heard Jason from Cafe Decamp is working here. Please let him use some of his creations. His fish taco and gingered slaw is killer. Had Jakes fish tacos last weekend and they were jus ok. Jason’s are friggen killer.Give him some rope and he could make this place shine.
Horribly overpriced, mediocer service. Asked for a table for five, got a small table for four with a chair pushed to the end. The food is priced about 2-1/2 times to high. You will find comparable quality food in a truck stop diner.
