Wine was warm, steak was tepid. More staff than clients, nothing tasted like food.

Great place to eat with family and friends! Always love the steaks!

Prime Rib :P. I have had many Prime Rib in my day but not many was as pricey and tasteless as I had at Jake’s. It was my first time and I was not impressed, which is very sad because it was my Boyfriends birthday and 3 out of 4 of us got the PR and none of us finished the entree. Our Crabcakes were awesome and the desert was amazing but for the main course to be so plain and disappointing is unbelievable especially something like Prime Rib. The Staff also happen to but us in the futhiest room they could find I guess we just don’t look the part of a Jake’s customer so they have to isolate us. Prob won’t go back again and if I do I will not order the Prime Rib.

We had the filets and they were over done and quite dry. The service was terrible. They were very pushy on drinks. This is the third time and everything is inconsistent. The French onion soup was good though!

It’s decent but way overpriced. $70 for king crab legs is ridiculous – more than what you pay for awesome ones in Seattle. my fault for not asking what the market price was but I had no idea it was going to be that ludicrous.

Order under what you normally do for steak. Great staff and desserts!

Jakes – Downtown – Classy & worth the $$$. OK a disclaimer, I and a co worker ate here while travelling so our company paid for it. But I lived in or near Billings I’d pay my own way hear a couple times a year at least. It is traditional steakhouse but has modern touches, we had Shrimp Wontons for starter (very yummy, like a perfect crab rangoon only differnt), they even had Pork Shanks on the Menu, which I have had other places and love. We each had bone in rib eyes and baked potato (which they load up tableside), Med Rare, they were very good and chared on outside, but MR inside, I also visit Gibsons in Chicago when I can, and though steak was not quite as good as Gibsons, it was very close. The waiter was experienced and obviously loved his job (and thats hard to beat). I will come back if and when I’m in Billings again.
