Best find in a long time. My husband and I were heading to a popular breakfast spot in downtown Billings and the wait was over 30 minutes. While walking to another restaurant, we came upon the Lilac for Sunday brunch. Fantastic! Food menu was original. Food was fresh. Great service and beautiful environment. Prices were way less than we expected. Can not wait to go to dinner.
Lilac review. The dinner experience was really great. Small intimate place, great attention to detail, food was very good. I had swordfish, my favorite, it did not disappoint. My only complaint is that every time the door opened we felt a cold draft. Lilac knows this and they are trying to address it but have trouble because the owner won’t let them build an entryway.
Excellent dinner. Amazing Gazpacho with Lobster. Both my husband and I have eaten in a lot of chic restaurants in big cities around the US. Lilac can hold its own against the competition. We had a wonderful dinner. I made my husband promise we will be back once a month from now on to sample the latest creations.
We went to lilac at 8 pm on 8/1/14. We sat at the bar. We had clams, steak tartar, tomato gazpacho and curries shrimp w/ spicy pancake. The food was RIDICULOUS! Absolutely out of this world. The flavor was impeccable and bold. Everything was played beautifully and seasoned to perfection. This place is on point with what they’re doing. They have THE hot food in town right now! Loved it! We be back regularly!
By far the best place I have eaten out at in billings. The service was excellent. We ordered a lobster roll for an appetizer which topped my list for most interesting and flavorfully explosive starters. My girlfriend ordered the pork loin and creamed corn (which was simply excellent) while I ordered the coffee cured hanger steak which was exceptional as well. The sheer amount of flavor of the meals was out of this world. The price was not half bad in comparison to the other fancier restaurants in town. I highly recommend this place for a first date.

Great service. My sister and I had dinner at Lilac tonight and it was a fun experience. The Potato Leek Soup and the Cheddar Cheese Burger were perfectly cooked and flavorful. The sticky toffee for dessert was served with Earl Grey tea ice cream and it is addicting! Our waiter had great suggestions and was really friendly. I will definitely return when I am in Billings.
