I have been in misery since moving here from California because of the lack of restaurants , especially Vietnamese. My family and I are used to eating it at least a couple of times a month, so imagine my surprise when I found out that a place I’ve been by countless times has the Ph I’ve been craving and it is every bit as good or better than any I’ve ever had anywhere else. In fact, it’s so good I ate there last night and went back tonight! The owner Calvin took the time to speak with me and ask me my name and of course he and his family recognized me from last night and welcomed me back with exuberance. Samurai is a small place, but with a great staff, and excellent Ph! I had egg rolls with my soup tonight and they were Vietnamese style too. So good! The only reason I didn’t give them a full 5 stars is because they don’t have more Vietnamese dishes on the menu, but Calvin the owner said they are working on it, so all you transplants like me who have been looking to get your Ph fix without success, go to Samurai as fast as you can! They only have it for dinner Monday through Wednesday. Hopefully that will change too as more people go there for it. They have all of the beef you should be familiar with from the brisket and the rare, to the tendon, tripe and meatballs. It is served as it should be with a plate of bean sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeno, as well as hoisin, Sriracha and fish sauce. Sorry I didn’t take a picture, but when they set that gigantic bowl of magic in front of me, I just tore right in before I remembered to…lol! Go hungry. It’s a massive bowl!

Very entertaining great atmosphere, very good tasting sushi. Disappointed that fried rice is extra and poor quality chicken thigh used.
