The restaurant is gorgeous. I love the decor and design. I love the fact that it is green. I love that it is locally sourced food. However, we went there for dinner, and it was metiocre at best. Food was off. We had steak tartar that was still slightly frozen, and was more of a carpaccio than tartar. It was not accompanied by a starch (bread, crostini). The short ribs were also just okay. Now, with all of that said, we has been there before for breakfast and lunch, and it was incredible. So, maybe a one time thing or maybe dinner just isn’t their strong suit. Anyways, give it a shot, it’s still a great restaurant.

Great Find!!!. I was visiting Billings for a wedding adn wanted to eat at a locally owned restaurant. We ate here for at least half of our meals. The restaurant itself is unassuming when viewing from the outside, but has a warm, friendly environment. It’s obvious that a lot of regulars eat there because the owners seemed to know everyone, and were very welcoming to us newbies. The menu has food combinations on there that I would expect to pay well over what they charged, and the chef didn’t disappoint in their delivery! The flavors were complimentary but not overpowering to the overall dish, and the portion size was perfect! If we ever get the chance to go back to Billings, I know where we will be eating again! Love love LOVE this place!
Yummy!. Ate there twice when we were in town for a wedding. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Would definitely eat there again!
Yummy!. Today my sister and I had a wonderful meal at The Fieldhouse. We started with the marvelous cheese plate. Presentation was well done and the variety of fruits and accompaniments was perfect. We shared Brussels Sprouts and the special, Salmon served with a zucchini fettucine and kale chips. Dessert was a huckleberry cake and the chocolate truffles. The entire meal was complimented by Bourasque a very crisp and fresh French sparkling wine. The service was attentive and friendly and we will be back.Great addition to Billings.
Great atmosphere and decor. The fresh squeezed orangejuice cold be the key to world peace and the flavorful french press coffee is a welcome touch. The food took a while to be served but WOW it was excellent in presentation and even better in flavor. The Haystack has a perfect blend of mushrooms, shoe string hash browns, meat and gravy. All topped with a sunny side up egg and cheese crumbles. Depending on your beliefs, you’ll certainly agree, the food is a direct creation of the sweet baby Jesus, Buddha, Ganesha, Allah or Xenu. My personal opinion is that his holiness has reached down and blessed the chef with his noodli appendages. The french toast is also quite delish, with exclellent presentation, home made lemmon custard and strawberry topping. Again proof that the chef is bordering on omnipotence. All of this comes at a price though, if you’re looking for a cheap heart attack, stick with the drive throughs. If you want a meal that will fornicate with your taste buds be ready to pay for it.Good day!
Great interior. The food and service do get a little better every time. I have had experiences with plates being far to rich and service lacking. But we need to give them another try. Very beautiful environment. The last two times there have been great as far as service and the food Is getting better. We need to comment and encourage. The downtown needs all the help it can get.
