Yummy BBQ. I had the lunch special for thursday, which is a bbq turkey sandwhich. Its pretty good, the meat was smokey and fell apaert. But there wasn’t much meat to bun ratio- more bun so I wasn’t to happy about that. The fries that come with it are AMAZING. I wasn’t impressed with their 4 selections of BBQ suace either, kinda tasted like the stuff you’d buy at the store for real cheap. The Tennesee Sour Mash smelled horrible, and tasted worse. But I like the spicy kind- but it wasnt that spicey to be honest. But great for the price.
Service was very poor. Waited over 45 minutes for an order of ribs and brisket to go. Was supposed to have no sauce on it do that it could be gluten free. The ribs had sauce all over them and were very tough. Brisket was ok, not worth a second trip.
Not even close to TX BBQ. Dropped in while in Bozeman and had a sliced brisket sandwich combo. Besides the ridiculous price, the BBQ sause was on the table in bottles and cold as ice, the sliced brisket was more like big chunks of brisket that made it difficult to eat and keep in between the buns.
Pressed Turkey. Hi Jon,We have been using the same turkey since we first put it on the menu in 2003. Perhaps you got some that was not up to our standard. Oh No Pressed Turkey!. Bar 3 has been my favorite BBQ for a long time. Recently they switched from Real Turkey to pressed half light half dark turkey. The new turkey is awful.Everything else remains great. Sides are excellent.
AWESOME BBQ. We eat at Bar 3 as our weekly eat out destination. Since this recession we have cut back to eating out once to a week treat and we pick Bar 3 Bbq everytime. They have a location in Belgrade and the specials allow us to eat out still. We did not know there was a sit down resturant still as they moved location from main street to there location in the big blue building, it is off of Broadway kindof by where the temp. true value was at. The Wed.night ribs are the best deal in town! You can dine in at the Belgrade location but it is very nice to be able to order it to go when we want to eat in. I love all the side dishes but the grits are so yummy, and the cold salads, cucumber, potato, and broccoli are delicious! Would reccomed to everyone, and they are open sundays so after church lunches are perfect at the Belgrade location. They have lots of seating there. Don’t miss out on incredible BBQ!
BEST BBQ in Montana!. This place is waaaay better than Famous Daves. They smoke everything in house and make everything from scratch (including the french fries and the buns). The ribs are fantastic, as are the green chili cheese grits. Every wednesday the Belgrade restaurant has an amazing deal to get half price on a full rack of meaty St. Louis Ribs…only $12.50! If you have never been there, you are missing out, big time!
