Had dinner with the family here while travelling in montana. The atmosphere was great, dress is casual. Everything we ate was amazing: the fettuccini Alfredo was rich, sirloin was tasty. We shared dishes so that we had room for dessert. The creme brle and peanut butter pie were to die for. Everything was the best we have ever tasted. Recommend reservations on Friday night
I had the beef Wellington and my husband had the pork loin with jack Daniels sauce. Both were amazing!!
It’s amazing someplace this good exists in someplace like Butte. Still, dinner and service were spotty. Most entrees are four courses: amusee bouche, soup, salad. The tomato citrus soup was some of the best tomato soup I’ve had. The special salad was a tomato caprese with three perfect varieties of cherry tomato and wonderful goat ricotta from Bozeman. Coquilles St Jacques was well executed. Caesar salad lacked the zing of garlic, anchovt and lemon juice. My wife’s chicken Arnold was bland, and my son’s ziti with marinara was watery with undistinguished sauce. The service was chaotic but thorough; three separate waiters said they would be taking our orders, and a fourth brought the food. Still, Butte needs a place like this, not another loud sports bar and steakhouse. Please, please, keep trying! You could be great: the dishes the chef seems to see as signature dishes are very good, but the ordinary stuff he’s calling those in without the necessary effort.
Get the beef Wellington! Always perfect! Yet to find a better one across the US!
We split the beef Wellington between two for dinner. The salad was fresh, & the b.w. cooked to perfection. The service was excellent. Reading some of the other reviews, I wish I had ordered the creme veiled.
Try Lunch. Awesome at all hours, but many don’t take advatange of their great cafeteria style lunch. Check their website for daily entrees.
