Not authentic Thai. The presentation looked amazing, but the flavors were not quite on the mark. It didn’t taste bad, and if you’ve never had real Thai, I’d say go for it. All the dishes we tried were very tame, which was disappointing if you like spice. Green curry had little flavor and no heat. The curry pork Chef Special was our least favorite. The pork was in big chucks and the dish was under cooked. Curry was not great. The Pad Thai was good but very oily. Overall, I wouldn’t discourage anyone going. Service was fine and they are very accommodating. Just don’t go with any expectations or you might be disappointed.
Great food and service. Made reservation and were seated on time. This was a saturday night and alot of activity in big sky, so expected to have to wait, but didn’t. Food was excellent (5 spice beef and garlic basil tofu). The Garlic Basil was yumm!!! highly recommend. The spring rolls were lacking. Service was very good and wait staff very professional and everything was brought out timely. Would definitely recommend. Call ahead!!
Great experience!. If you are interested in more than steak and hamburgers this is the place! The food is always on the mark and the daily specials are worth trying. They have a great cocktails list to start with and the Spring Rolls and Lettuce Wraps are great starters. On the regular menu is a fantastic Drunken Noodles and the Currys are perfect! For those wanting steak, the Crying Tiger is the best in the area….great for sharing, as are all the dishes.Others have complained about the small dining room and the wait…don’t let this keep you from a great night.
Gotta understand that it’s a small place and very popular in Big Sky.. Expect a wait when busy or potentially no room for reservations. Food well worth that wait though! Better than any of the Thai places in Bozeman with regards to taste and quantity for the price. Because it is small though, the spices can get you coughing without it even being your dish.
I wish I could review the food but after I made reservation for my table days in advance I was told I would be seated at the counter…. I cant really speak to the food as the rudeness from the staff after asking for a table as I had reserved caused me to leave I can say the menu looked pedestrian and uninspired… If lotas pad is on your list of places to dine in big sky I recommend walking 50 feet and having an excellent meal at Artata
If you’re looking for Asian food in Big Sky, this is the place, and luckily it is quite good. The noodle dishes, especially the ones with heat, are some of the best I’ve had in the states. The curries are good, but in my experience their noodle dishes have been better. Personally, the Pad Thai and the Drunken Noodles are stand outs.
Decent Thai. I had the Bison curry which was good but there was not a lot of meat in the bowl. My kids had the grilled chicken satay with peanut sauce which I thought were pretty good. My wife had the coconut soup and neither one of us liked it. It smelled putrid. Other than that it was a neat place. Interesting ambiance but the seating was a bit cramped.
