Mostly superb!. I’ll give the not-so-great first: I believe the gyoza are brought in frozen and they are deep-fried rather than the more customary pan-fried. The yellowtail was not near as flavorful as I’m used to.That said, the good far outweighed the mediocre. The unagi was fantastic. It was mild and yet flavorful, and they did not drown it in sauce. The real hero of the meal was the smoked salmon roll. It was shimp tempura rolled with cream cheese and cucumber, then covered in avocado, smoked salmon and tobiko. It was one of the finest rolls I have had in Montana. I daresay it rivaled some sushi I have had in Las Vegas and Seattle. The service was incredibly friendly as well. I will happily return to Midori.
Midori is the best Sushi restaurant in Kalispell! The lunch bento box paired with a specialty roll is fair priced and perfect.
