Great food, good price. My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch with our infant daughter. Menu looked pretty standard as far as burgers, sandwiches, etc. but the quality was far above what we expected. We got the beef dip and kickin chicken sandwich. Both had different styles of buns, but both were very fresh, the toppings, meat, etc were all fantastic. Tons of flavour and very enjoyable! Portion size was very good too. And at just under $10 with a side we felt it was very good value. Will go back next time we are in Whitefish for sure!!
Not Just For Breakfast Anymore. Of course the Buffalo is already world famous for their legendary breakfasts and staple local atmosphere feel. But believe it or not the Dinner is where it’s at these days. The Stroganoff is so good I might actually kill for it. Its quickly becoming something I eat every time I come back to Whitefish. Great casual atmosphere and a friendly attractive staff to boot. For the price, Dinner at the Buffalo is quickly becoming a Whitefish legend all its own. I’ve had several occasions when I eat here for Breakfast then come back 8 hours later for dinner. If they were open straight through lunch I might not leave 😉 The Tutie’s Mac and Cheese and Chips & Salsa are worth exploring as well.
Consistent. The Buffalo Cafe has been a ‘must’ go to for breakfast on trips to Whitefish. The service is always friendly, and the breakfasts are pretty consistent and good. Lots of good options to choose from. Love the Taylor Made pie.. hashbrowns with a spicy sausage patty and eggs sunny side up. Delish.
Meh. Rib eye steaks were cooked well but underseasoned, beans were out of a canBeef stroganoff was swimming in a really overgreased heavy sauce and the noodles were undercooked, but the beef was decent.Overall, wouldn’t be somewhere I’d come back to but it was ok
They have a great menu using a lot of fresh local ingredients. One of my faves is the hot veggie salad with their homemade purple dressing. It’s made with red cabbage and sour cream and a bunch of other stuff. Sooo good – light and healthy.
Delicious Chaos. The Dow’s Huevos was a plateful of pure deliciousness. Eggs poached perfectly, great chorizo, topped with unbelievable tomatoes. Some bites were eaten by fork, others by the perfectly matched tortilla. Pancakes and hash browns were good in their own right, but the Dow’s stole the show. Coffee could stand improvement. Overall, one of the best meals I had in Whitefish.
