Ate at Ixtapa last night with my husband….. We stood at the front door for awhile without even being acknowledged. It was pretty busy but, no one acknowledged us. This place has a funky smell to it, can’t put my finger on it but it’s kind of like mildew. Our service was pretty fast, the service brought us our drinks quickly and stayed on top of refills. Queso dip was cold and got even colder very quickly. Overall, I would say this Mexican restaurant is okay. Wouldn’t eat here frequently.

Great Second Visit. I had late lunch here today with a couple work friends. First of all, that salsa is still wonderful. Nice and smoky, good consistency.I had carne asada, and it was perfect. Tender and juicy, just a touch of spice, and the pintos and rice were a great accompaniment. The iced tea was strong and tasty, and service was fast and friendly. My check was $17.38. Great food. billhensley.wordpress.com

Not worth the money!. My family and I went to this place in hopes of having good food, talk about one of the biggest letdowns ever. Our food was severely over seasoned and not enough food for the price. All very disappointing, won’t be going back the again.

Very good. we’ll be back. We ate there twice, once for lunch on a Saturday and dinner on a Friday. Service was excellent both times. Food is tasty. Chips and salsa free. Margaritas blended and on the rocks were pretty good. I won’t say it’s fantastic, but we didn’t have to wait in line on a Friday evening, the food was good and service was great. Under $30 with 2 margaritas, tough to beat

Love it! The food isn’t superb, but the margaritas sure are. And they have happy hour every day until 7pm ($2.99 for lime & $3.50 for mango, peach, & strawberry). Great for a cheap-ish meal & a couple of drinks. The vegetarian options are slim. Three specifically meat-free options.

Hit or miss. My wife and I have gone to Ixtapa a half dozen times and we are seeing that they have a serious problem with quality control. The food has a different flavor every time you order it and sometimes it even comes out undercooked. Then when you bring the issue to the owners they argue with you and berate you.I would suggest that you find another place to eat.

Chimichanga Was Outstanding! the Cheese Dip Was Amazing and the Margaritas Were Not Watered Down and Tasting Like Tequila. Yum. They went out of their way to do something for the customer that is not on the menu. A bean ONLY chimichanga! It was VERY good. 🙂 LOVED and I will be back. Move over LaMesa…..your out!
