  A group of us took my mom out for lunch for her birthday. Three of us ordered a taco salad. This was the WORSE TACO SALAD I have ever had. Soggy lettuce over soggy hamburger and not much else on the salad. Food items ordered by others looked okay otherwise I would have given a lower rating.The service was also disappointing. The server was very grumpy the entire time.

  I loved this place and would recommend the beef or pork enchiladas. Everything was amazing and the staff was kind.

  Stick to the Margaritas. I’m not a tequila/Margarita drinker normally, but Mazatlan makes their’s with a higher quality tequila that goes down smooth & gets the buzz going quickly. According to my friend they are the best one’s in town. The food on the other hand is underwhelming. I agree that flavors are bland and taste similar from entree to entree. I recently ordered a taco salad as I wanted something light. It was served in the deep fried taco shell (much like Amigos), but the beef at the bottom was mushy & whatever was at the very bottom, made the crispy shell watery & too mushy to eat. I’ve had other food their before, but left with a ho-hum experience. It was very busy on a Friday night. Many people were waiting for a table, which might be why I felt a bit rushed by the waiter at the end of the meal. Judging by their popularity, plenty of people must enjoy the food. I do feel their building could use a remodel (particularly in the bathroom).
