This place is like eating in your long lost Persian grandmothers kitchen (even if you dont have a Persian grandma). Not a fancy environment. Food is varied and delicious and a the place is welcoming. You could linger. Difficult to choose from the many foods. Part of the experience is that the owner will take some time to talk with you about the food and offer tasting plates of anything you are interested in. The gyro may be the best in town, but dont go for that. There are so many better dishes.
I got to try the kababs and zafran rice at the farmer’s market so thought of trying out their dine in menu. Tried their #abgoosht #asiagochicken #zafranrice. Not very impressed by the slow cooker abgoosht. The lamb shank was missing its flavor. The Falafel King has better lamb shanks and they are overly charged unlike Daffodils. Asiago chicken was average. Service was good. I like the lady who owns the place very friendly and warm but I am not going to spend so much for a crockpot cooked lamb shank. The Mediterranean flavor was totally missing.
One of my favorite places in Lincoln. Very good food, fun atmosphere, and staff who makes you feel like family. Iranian food that is hard to find elsewhere. The samples are great, especially if you have no idea what to go for. Would highly recommend this to anyone dining in Lincoln.
