Best steak in Omaha. Waiters are friendly. Went when it was slow so basically had one on one attention. If I ever go back to Omaha I'll eat here again…

Our first time at 801 Chophouse was fantastic. Our server was very attentive and the wait staff was very on top of taking empty plates and refilling water. Everyone was very friendly. The lights are dim and the tables are lit by candlelight. The booths are very comfortable. They have a very extensive by the bottle wine list. the Caesar salad was big enough to split with my husband. I ordered the 8oz sirloin medium rare and it was cooked perfectly. The outside of the steak was charred and had a bit of a crunch as you but into it. Seasoned wonderfully. The sides are family style. We got the Mac and cheese and the grilled asparagus, to die for.We also tried the souffl for my birthday. It was fantastic! My new favorite dessert. 801 is a must try.
The worst service we have ever had at any restaurant any where at any time. He uttered about 15 words to us during the entire dinner culminating when he dropped the check on the table as he was walking by without a word. The food was good. The atmosphere was ok but at $200 for 2 you would expect the people there to at least be pleasant. That was a 1 and done for us!
Not only is the atmosphere great for a group of people, but the food is absolutely amazing! I think I tried a little bit of everything on the menu, and wasn’t disappointed! The service is out of this world!
Chop House. This place is overrated. The booths are cozy and the atmosphere is what I expected; however, the veal chop that I ordered was not what I expected. I ordered it to be cooked medium and instead they brought it to me as partly uncooked in the center so it had to be sent back. The sauted spinach in garlic and olive oil had hot chili oil or spice which on the first bite was burning my taste buds. I sent it. Back and requested what I thought I would be getting. Instead, they brought spinach swimming in olive oil and no garlic. Who ever said I didn’t like garlic! I had to request for the spinach and olive oil to be flavored with the hopped garlic. It was such a nightmare all round. I would never go there and wasted my money on that place again. To be fair though, the waiter was very pleasant and the fed wine selection was good. The veal chop, by the time it came back, was overlooked as a result of my expressing my dissatisfaction with the undercooked meat. Someone in the kitchen needs better training,
801 Chophouse. We went here for our anniversary dinner. The service was fantastic! The food was hit and miss. I ordered a new york strip and it was absolutely delicious but my husband ordered the shellfish platter and every item was either overcooked or undercooked. They removed his meal from our bill was it was disappointing for my husband to not be able to enjoy a meal. With how much competition is in the area, we will likely not return but again I need to compliment the service we received but for the price the food could have been a lot better.
Best lobster corn chowder ever!!! My meal was top drawer start to finish. Old school steak house. Awesome staff. Cannot recommend it enough. Can’t wait to return.
Absolutely the Best Beef. This is our special occasion treat. When I’m hungry for beef, there is no place in Omaha that is better. Honest. All of the cuts are outstanding. I usually choose the filet. It melts in my mouth. But my family likes the ribeye too. There is nothing better than aged beef. If you are visiting Omaha and want to sample great beef, choose the 801. The sides are quite tasty too: all of the whipped potato flavors are delicious. The sides are big enough to pass around the table. The service is lovely: truly fine dining. Love the vintage photos of the Omaha stockyards and the cattle that cover the walls!
