Excellent; we had cafe au lait & mocha. Later was among the best I have had.
Great bakery items, most I assume are from Bliss as it is right next door. The service is a little slow, so if there is a line be prepared to wait a little longer than if were at Starbucks. Good lattes, and teas with a relaxed slow pace atmosphere. You can hang out all day and not be bothered– great coffee shop. They have bottomless mugs if that’s what you want to do all day
Spoiled milk in my latte. Beware.
Keep trying. I would really like this place if they would hire someone that knows how to make coffee. I just stopped in and ordered a vanilla latte and got milk and 1/2 cup of foam. Usually, I would let it go, but I decided that I needed a full cup of coffee today. The girl at the bar said the foam was just at the top–as she spooned out 1/2 of the cup of foam. Then she just filled it with milk. Horrible! It’s worth walking to another place, a block or 2 farther, for a decent cup of coffee!
Mmmmm.. I tried this place last summer. I ordered a specialty turtle latte and asked for it to be on ice. I also ordered one of their baked goods. It hit the spot for me. Too bad I live so far away, I would be one of the people at a table on a laptop sipping some joe.
How many ways can you brew coffee anyway?. As you stroll through the front door, you immediately feel like you’re being judged. The lengthy journey to the bar is surrounded by long rows of computer users only to be concluded by friendly barista asking you to pick from the massive list of beverage choices. The entire cafe has a snazzy feel to it with snuggly couch and chairs in the back. It’s an ideal place to read a book or focus on homework, but has a covered seating area out front on which to enjoy a cool beverage in the hot summer. Frankly, I dig it. Remember the long list of beverages? There are a few snacks to go with them. There’s tea, a million different ways to have coffee, a variety of teas and other usual coffee fare, but the coffee suffers here. They don’t roast their beans fresh and brew so much drip coffee at once (by flavor, darkness) that the product really suffers. Additionally, I could order the coffee from a Ibrik, a percolator or a handful of other ways, but this breadth will let you down. Turkish coffee for example is not for the unskilled. It requires an amount of experience and time and coffeeshops certainly don’t have time to make it properly and the skill I’m not so sure.In the end, the drip coffee is good enough and the place is generally inviting one you get past all the computers. It’s in an interesting location in downtown off the beaten path which makes it a more relaxing place to drink.
Nothing Turkish!? I used this app to find a lunch spot on the way to the aIrport. I love Turkish food and decided to stop here b/c of the tag. While the coffee is good, there isn’t anything other than pastries. Don’t go for food.
