One of many specialty coffee offerings in and around the Old Market. Its tucked in behind the parking structure on 11th and Jones so unless you know its there youre never going to spot it.Once you come inside it is a very open and inviting space with artwork for sale and plenty of seating. There is room for lots of people but doesnt feel cramped like so many of these downtown coffee shops can. Very clean, well lit, comfortable, and inviting.They have the thorough menu of different coffee drinks, teas, etc. that you would expect. A few food options as well though I havent tried them for myself. Their coffee and espresso are good but tend to be on the strong/bitter side, not uncommon for a coffee shop. Their cold brew was a little more bitter than I care for but I do enjoy their offerings for the most part.The only negative I can really think of is the mens room. It really didnt smell clean and the urinal has been out of order for a long time… but at this point I am nit-picking.
Vegan BlissVegan cupcake heaven!!! I need to order a sheet cake and normally would make the cake myself but wont be able to. So I searched online and was delighted to find several bakeries that could do a vegan sheet cake. The price here was better than some so I thought I would try Aroma Bliss first. I contacted them through the internet and they got back to me quickly on what my flavor options are and I said I wanted to come in and buy a couple to see if I thought it would be good for my big vegan outreach event.When I arrived I spoke to Phil who had helped me by email and got his advice. I selected two two try. Sad that they charge .25 cents more for vegan, so each was $3.50. HEAVEN at first bite. Anyone wanting a decadent, cruelty free treat, this is it. No one could tell it is vegan, not sure why all cupcakes are not vegan because it is just so delicious. I am looking forward to getting my cake for my event and would recommend them to anyone wanting a sweet treat. Only reason they do not get 5 stars is because I only give 5 stars to a 100% vegetarian/vegan establishment.
