  Burgers are tasty! I did the turkey burger with pepper jack cheese on a pretzel bun. The Philly cheesesteak was good too! This is my favorite week night bar. The patio is great for people watching. Got the Froggy bottom. Will have another.

  When you assume…. Alright, we get it. The food ordering system doesn’t make sense. Yeah, right. Great, let’s move on.In Billy Frogg’s defense, the way to order food here is only confusing if you have ordered food at another restaurant in your life; so if you’re out there, and have never been to a bar & grill before, try Billy Frogg’s. It will be ok.That being said, the food here is pretty good for pub grub. The burgers are juicy but not greasy, the philly is quite tasty, and the chicken sandwiches are about the best for bar food in Omaha. Oh, and if you like the old fashioned steak fries, you will definitely enjoy a meal at Billy Frogg’s. The fixins bar at the counter pickup is a great way to customize your sandwich or burger to make it a personal creation. Pickles, bbq sauce, tabasco, onions, lettuce, tomatoes…the choices remind me of the old Roy Rogers restaurants when I was a kid; I don’t mind the extra stop on the way back to my table.Now, in the true examination of Billy Frogg’s, this is much more of a bar than it is a restaurant. So, although you might get a burger here and enjoy it, you probably came for a pitcher of beer or a Jim Dandy glass of Pond Scum.

  Good Food, but Weird Ordering Setup. I’ve had some of the best burgers I’ve ever had here, and they have a few good beers, BUT the food system they have going over there is terrible. The staff is quite helpful and friendly, EXCEPT when it comes to knowing they need to explain their weird food system to people. They’ll be happy to tell you if you ask, but the first time I went there, I sat at a table and remained un-served and confused for over ten minutes before I went to ask what was up at the bar. Apparently, you secretly have to walk to the kitchen in the back of the whole place and order food right from the cook, then wait to be called when your food’s ready, and go up and get it. The is separate from ordering drinks at the bar or from a server you sometimes get. It’s a stupid system with no signs to explain it, but now that I know it, I’m happy to return.
