I have been here a few times for lunch as it is only about a five minute walk from work. It has never been terribly busy when I go (no events at the ballpark or arena) so I would expect service and food to come quickly. It didn’t. I have spent 45 minutes to nearly an hour waiting for my meal to arrive more than once.I have tried the Blatt Burger, the strips with fries, the chicken waffles… each one has been generally overcooked (which might explain why it took so long). It’s easy to spend $20 for lunch which is not outrageous for that area of Omaha but given the food quality I received, it is more than I am willing to spend.I gave them multiple tries. They had their chance.
Ok, the first time I reviewed this place I had eaten at was the location in the flagship commons inside the westroads mall. I had a horrible meal. Gave the downtown location a chance this past weekend. There was a concert going on so, they had a limited menu. My wife and I had the chicharrones for an appetizer (fried pork rinds.) Never really liked pork rinds. These were really good! I have a new opinion on pork rinds now because of these. Don’t know because I’ve never had them warm and fresh. Maybe that’s why I liked them so much. Both had the dixie chicken sandwich. Great! Very good. Fast and attentive service as well.
Great Atmosphere and Great Food. My first time here was during the College World Series and they sure know how to handle a crowd during that. If you’re here during that time, I’d definitely recommend stopping in. Their location makes for a great atmosphere during that time. I’ve also been here for food a few times as I only live a few blocks away. Both times I’ve been thoroughly impressed. They have great food as well as a great selection of beer on tap. Their service has always been great too! Would definitely recommend.
