Delicious, creative, not too pricey! Brought my family there from out of town and they all loved it too. Can’t go wrong with trying any of their fries. Fairly vegetarian friendly too!

First time in Omaha – heard great things about this place and I certainly was not disappointed. Tried the grilled cheese of the day – white cheddar, Gouda with blueberry hibiscus – absolutely wonderful!

My first visit, definitely will not be my last! This is my kind of place. Small, locally owned, quality food and a refined smaller menu that they do very well. I came with a friend and we shared 2 burgers and 2 different types of fries. Yes, 2 different types of fries. And there are 3 others if you include the plain ones. The first thing we tried was the Block burger. It has a 1/3 lb. patty with swiss cheese, mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle. It was very good. The only flaw was that the bun did not hold up to the burger. Maybe if they toasted the bun it would work better. Next we tried the Crogue Garcon burger. Itwas a 1/3 lb. patty with cheese, ham, mustard, truffle mayo and a sunny side up egg on a ciabatta roll. It was also very good but suffered the same problem with the roll not holding up to the burger. By the time we were done with it the roll had disintegrated. The first type of fries we tried was the poutine. These are covered with cheese curds and then drenched in a very delicious dark brown gravy. Last we tried the Duck, Duck, Goose fries. We saved the best for last. These are a meal unto themselves. Fries covered with a large helping of duck confit, crispy duck skin, cheese, duck fat mayo and gooseberry gastrique. I have never had anything this unique and delicious before. These are worth coming back for just by themselves. The best part is that there are more items on the menu that I want to come back to try. I can say that it will not be a long wait.

Try to get in there and snag a special, it will never disappoint! Their fries are absolutely amazing. A must when dining at Block 16. I just wish they were always open for dinner!

Hip little sandwich shop in DT Omaha. I liked the wooden accents and the chalkboard menu. The place had a fun ambience. My first time there I tried the Dragon Wrap w/ chicken as per the nice gal at the counters recommendation. It was very, very tasty. Pickled veggies, seasoned chicken, fries, and some tasty sauces wrapped up in a warm soft pita. Some places slop too much sauce on sandwiches like that and I was extremely pleased that it had just the right amount of sauce to provide some awesome flavor without making the sandwich super messy. It was different, unique, and extremely delectable. I thought it was really cool that they had daily lunch and dinner specials too. I’ll definitely be back to try everything else on the menu especially the fried chicken. Thumbs way up. Omaha needs more joints like this.
