Our meal began on an inauspicious note when our server, Mike informed us that our order of basil goat cheese ravioli wasnt available because the chef didnt like how it turned out. My romaine salad was swimming in dressing and the bacon, though generous was pre-cooked. Our meal improved with our entree, a generous portion of seared salmon in a tangy lemon blanc sauce, perfectly cooked and topped with salmon roe. The garlic green beans had a nice crunch and the soft shell crab was a perfect compliment to the salmon. An appetizer of ahi tuna (ordered as an entree) was overwhelmed by a spicy red pepper glaze, but the taro root chips provided a nice contrast. A soft and chewy sliced baguette was provided with the meal. For dessert, we sampled the not too rich chocolate torte loaded with pecans accompanied by a smooth chocolate ice cream topped with a delicate caramel sauce. The service was friendly and professional and the ambience is slightly dated though understated.
