After a couple of visits, I decided this place is awesome. Its street level location in the Deco hotel is great for people watching, though perhaps less so for parking. Fantastic for a somewhat fancy lunch or dinner.
Went to Heritage for restaurant week, all 3 of our courses were great and the wine pairings were excellent. I was a little caught off guard by how empty this place was, especially given all the work they put into it after Zin room closed. Provided it was a Monday night and a little off the beaten path from the old market, but there were literally only 3 tables of people in there at 7 pm. Our server explained they revamped their entire dinner menu this past weekend, we will be back to try this, hopefully it gets them a bit more business!
Will not go back. I went to Heritage for a friend’s birthday. The server recommended 2-3 plates per person which was way too much food. When the check came, there were multiple items on my ticket and weren’t mine, one of which was a dish that was ordered and never brought to the table. When it was brought to the server’s attention she refused to fix it and over charged us on top of the 20% gratuity that was automatically added to the bill. I have never had a server refuse to fix a check before and purposely overcharge 5 guests. I will not be back!
Great atmosphere and an awesome wine selection. The food is all about a creative mix of flavors, tastes, and textures. All the food is presented with an artful flair that only adds to the taste. The intrigue of the presentation and family style serving is suited for larger groups for sharing, sampling, and discussion. The service was great and timely.
Impressive food, wine, and staff. Their wine room is very visible and beautiful to see. Definitely try their charcuterie, also, because I would consider going here for this alone! The service was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was all delicious, brought out on plates to be shared. If you are looking for in-depth wine knowledge, they are very knowledgeable and they have at least one sommelier on staff. I’d strongly recommend this place for a nice date or, perhaps, a business meal that aims to impress without putting on airs it is fancy without being alienating. And they are eager to show off their wine selection and share it through tastings on weekends and great food pairings. I look forward to eating here again.
Dine here!. As described to us, this is Omaha’s next wave of great dining. So very true. You will enjoy creative dishes, an original wine cellar, a dining experience created and served by the city’s finest. Enjoy!
