Solid service, and food was good. Restaurant was nice overall. Though, for prices ranging from $20-$50 for an entree I would have expected a better bathroom experience. The men’s restroom could have easily been in your average dive bar. The food and the fact that my coffee cup never went dry are enough for the rating but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here again.
Wonderful location and patio, great for people watching and their patio is dog friendly! High quality food at very low prices. Diverse menu and a friendly wait staff. I really enjoy their lavosh. I was not too impressed with the reuben sandwich but I will definitely be eating here again
The food was awesome…. The service is horrible … The food came out cold… The app never came… 30 min for a drink…. Not a good experience
Amazing Food – Romantic Ambience. My husband had the best steak of his life here. They have good house wines and great appetizers. We really enjoyed the romantic ambience. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice date night or special occasion.
Save your money. The chef is a pretentious jackass. Some young idiot out of New York who thinks he’s doing something unique. Awful food. Just awful. Kid has no clue what he’s doing. Do not waste your time. Wherever that joke of a chef ends up Id be sure to avoid that restaurant
Great meal and service!. Had dinner with 5 friends. We had great service, food was wonderful and drinks were out before we finished our first.
Mixed opinion. Ordered the French Onion Soup. It was a good sized portion and tasted very good. However, as with most places now, French Onion soup means…well, not sure what to call it, stew? Mash?. Lot’s of mushy onions in a bowl with croutons and melted cheese. Soup is supposed to have liquid to it, a broth, that you can sip with a spoon. And unfortunately J’s, although it was good tasting, has gone the way of most places that offer French Onion Soup and serve a thick overcooked onion stew with bread on top that soaks up every last bit of broth that was in the bowl. That being said I ordered the 14oz strip with fries. It was unfortunately overcooked. The waitress was very adamant about getting me another one so I agreed. She also made sure my sides were fresh. The second steak was EXCELLENT…Well worth the money. I ordered mushrooms as well and they too were very well cooked, tasty, meaty, and worth the three dollars. The meal also came with a fresh vegetable side of haricot and squash and fries with a coating that made them extra crispy. So in summary. The soup tasted good but needed to be a soup not a stew. It was unfortunate that my first steak was overcooked. One thing you expect from a steak house and for 40 bucks for a steak is near perfection and a good tasting piece of meat. I got that on my second steak. Service was prompt and as stated above the waitress was adamant about re-firing my steak to get it right. Everything was also very timely. I had time to finish my soup before the steak came out. The new steak came out promptly. I always had a full drink. I may be a bit critical here but at the end of the day when dropping 50 bucks for one person to eat, things should be perfect.
