My husband and I went to Omaha prime for our anniversary and Valentines Day. We have heard great things and we’re excited to try this restaurant. The staff downstairs in the bar area are very kind and very helpful. Right after we were sat at our table upstairs we could tell it would be a long night. We waited about 20 minutes for anybody to come to our table. While we were waiting, we realize that 2 of the glasses were dirty. Not what you expect at upscale restaurants. Once we we’re approached the waiter he gave us our menus. He did not go over the menu as he did with other tables nor did he offer us any water. All the other tables had the option of tap water or bottled water. Once we asked for water, we were given tap water and not given the option of bottled water. Our waiter had forgotten to hand out bread to all the tables. So finally he brought out bread for all the tables even though some people were already done eating. The rolls were hard and crusty and cold. Finally our steaks came and he gave us the wrong steaks. The steaks were dry and thin. My husband had asked for A1 sauce and had to ask the waiter 2 more times to get it. The waiter did not ask how are food was or ask if we wanted anything else. We had asked for more water and the waiter had brought out a pitcher. The waiter had filled up 3 tables and then left again and refill the pitcher. He then filled 2 more tables and left. We had to flag him down again and ask him for more water. Even though he walked right past our table. He didnt offer any dessert either. Very disappointing. I hope this lack of service had nothing to do with being a mixed couple. We could have gone to outback for the same quality for 1/4th the price!
Great place to eat… Outstanding food service and atmosphere.. A must do if you are in the Omaha area!
Overbloated Egos!. Apparently we were not dressed up enough for this place because they looked at us and asked if we needed to see the prices first. How rude. But I understand why, the food IS way overpriced for what you get. I have no problem spending good money on a spectacular meal and a classy atmosphere but that is not what I got. First off the place looks old and moldy and mostly empty. It is like a ghost of what it used to be. The waiter was friendly. The Bleu Cheese potatoes were good, and the buck stops there. Although the steak was all right, I have had much better for a lot cheaper in cleaner places. My advice is to clean and update your establishment and to make food appropriate to your prices. In my opinion, your place was not dressed classy enough to be serving us.

The Prime is a Class Act from start to finish!!!. Find me a real L.A. or N.Y. Chop House that delivers such flawless service, the fresh cut & real Prime Grade steaks in a tasty three-course meal & drinks for about $50 or so a person (maybe a bit more in our case since we usually like to go for the extras). It is true you have to travel to the heartland in Omaha to get it… And O so worth it!Seems that all we find anymore on the west or east coast are just simply mock-up knock-off corporate owned chop houses where it is CEO & board owned with revolving door staff… At the Omaha Prime, even when just coming in year to year, the waiter & especially the owner, still remember us by name. It is such a warm welcome always & a true delight! If you care about what you eat and are prepared to be pampered than Omaha Prime is the place for you. We get to hand select our own fresh cuts for our main course while all our expectations are met from quality to the quantity.
Great experience. I was back in Omaha for the Bekshire Hathaway’s annual meeting and dined at Omaha Prime with 35 of my co workers and clients on Saturday night and I was absolutely amazed how great was the service considering how busy the restaurant was and the bone in filet was the best steak I have ever had.
Great team dinner! Unreal place!. My company did a team dinner at Omaha Prime last weekend and it was unreal! How do you cook a steak with so much flavor? They obviously use only top/prime beef. Our server was outstanding- he handled a table of 8 as if it was just me- very professional!I am making a reservation at Omaha Prime for my anniversary with my wife- that is how impressed I am!Well done Prime- well done!
