Loved the concept of the restaurant, pretty elligant. The menu had so many varieties on it, you would literally get lost trying to figure out what to eat. The food is was pretty good. They have an interesting way of cooking. I personally tried the steak enchilada. It was pretty good.
I’ve been a big fan of Stokes out in Boys Town for a while. I went to the Old Market location over the dinner hour with a large party and an empty stomach. We ordered several appetizers including the deviled eggs and a smoked salmon dish which are wonderful. They had unique flavor twists that jazzed up some classic recipes. I ended up ordering my favorite dish, the Green Chili Chicken Burrito, and was not disappointed. Service was spot-on and it was a great vibe. I’ll definitely be back again!
Outstanding! From the moment my two colleagues & I walked in the door, we were treated very well. Seated right away and greeted very shortly thereafter by a well spoken, high energy Server who was highly knowledgeable of the menu & beer selections. Not exactly a huge beer selection, but again our Server knew her stuff. The wine selection was much better, award winning even. Each of my colleagues had specialty cocktails to order and were very pleased. We agreed on two appetizers (ShareMe) to share between us – Deviled Eggs & Trout Crostini. Both were unique and excellent choices to share. For me entree, I went off my usual track and had a crab salad. I was very hungry and had no intention of eating a salad, but the menu description made it too tempting to resist. Even my colleagues gave me a sideway glance and accused me of being on a diet. Not the case. Nevertheless, it was a very tasty choice and not anything like a traditional salad. Had a little kick to it which I enjoyed. All in all, the three of us had a relaxing and enjoyable dinner. I highly recommend and refer to this place as a Winner!
Nachos were pretty good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Same with the Bloody Mary I ordered. It wasn’t anything I was tempted to order again. Probably need to try out more items on the menu. I can see the food having good potential.
Very please with my visit to Stokes for Sunday brunch. Solid brunch food and drink menu, including a make-your-own Bloody Mary bar. They definitely deliver on their food, it was excellent, from the flavor to the presentation, it was all spot on. Service was great, and the spacious, festive restaurant topped off an already appreciated visit. My mouth is already watering thinking of my next visit!
Soooo Slow. I had the famous chicken enchiladas, which were okay. I don’t know why they are so famous. Anyway, the service was slow. It seemed like it took 15 minutes for my order and having waited a long time for my bill, I finally had to get up and get someone. That won’t prevent me from going there again because they had interesting things on their menu that I would like to try.
Wait over an hour for our food. Cancelled our order, paid for drinks and left. Very disappointed.
