Love the Boiler Room. I can’t believe the Boiler Room has been open 6 years. My first visit was 5 years ago and I was not happy with the experience. It was all too much old world for me. Five years later I had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is much warmer and inviting and the food was great. I loved seeing 3 fish selections on the menu. The red snapper and veggies were excellent . I had heard their cocktails were great and the old fashion really hit the mark. The waiter’s wine recommendation was also spot on. The cheeses were also a wonderful complement to the meal. The only thing that didn’t hit the mark was the after dinner drink that the bartender thought I would like. I’ll be going back soon!

Great Atmosphere; Beautiful Food. I visited the Boiler Room as a last minute choice. They took my reservations on a Friday evening with no problems. A precursor–which I wish their host who took my reservation had warned me about–was they require validated parking in front of their restaurant. This means you will have to park, then enter their place, request a validation ticket, and revisit your vehicle to place on the dash board. Luckily my buddy arrived before me and had my ticket ready.Their establishment is amazing and great on the eyes. I have not visited any other local places which to compare them to. They are unique and the floor plan is well laid out. The host will also check your coats if you choose and they normally quickly seat you and your party down or you may choose to congregate at their nice sized, U-shaped bar area. The wall-deco is very French-cuisine and took one of my friends off-guard. I liked it though. It’ll make more sense once you view it. Their staff is very professional, confident, and they were well prepared to answer all of our questions. I enjoyed this aspect very much. I would have hired my waitress on the spot if I owned a restaurant. Their menu is simple, well organized, and changes often to acclimate their seasonal-theme. They have no beer on-tap but they still had a good selection of contemporary beers. I chose their pilsner and it was terrific. Their wine-by-the glass options were great and leaned more toward red selections. I chose their Spanish pinot-noir. The whole table ended up getting at least one serving as well. We should have opted for the bottle instead. I ordered their rabbit confitt which was amazing and beautifully presented. I knew that I made a great choice. I chose the flounder as my main entre but one of my friends ordered the single pork dish. It had hints of Spanish-themes in the spice combination. It was simple and a great portion all around the table. We then opted for their cheesecake options for desert. It arrived within 5 min’s of ordering which was very fast in our opinions. The serving size is best described to accommodate one-person. However, it was the perfect conclusion to a terrific evening. All in all, my friends said the price was high for what we ate but I believe you are paying for the ambiance, staff, swift response, and healthier food options. My bill totaled $86 with tip. I plan to reserve this place as my next date-night with my wife.Enjoy!

What a delectably wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the service was great! Staff is well knowledgable and focused on every detail. Our waiter knew exactly what wine to suggest and it paired fabulously with the squash blossoms. The cheese selection is exquisite and the main courses were to die for! The flank steak was paired with poached eggs and the salmon was perfectly cooked. Combine all of this with the ambiance and that makes one fabulous date night!

Very good – Not the best. We finally visited the Boiler Room with an out of town guest and overall we weren’t too impressed.Undoubtedly, it was a cool atmosphere, which added greatly to the experience. However, the decor lacked detail and care. The chairs were uncomfortable and the large wall-hangings were affixed with neon pushpins. Really, you can’t find a brass tack? The bathroom was clean, though boring and failed to add any interest to the overall experience. The service overall was very good. Our waiter was knowledgeable of the menu, and accommodating. We enjoy sharing and eating everything tapas style, the waiter was more than willing to accommodate. However, the waiter wasn’t the best at helping our indecisive party to pick the gems off the menu. The cocktail menu was inventive, but over the top. We had a hard time choosing between all the obscure drinks and alcohols we had never heard of. To his credit, the waiter was helpful to this end and provided some suggestions. Overall, the cocktails did not impress. They claimed to be on the ‘darkside’ of mixology, but that didn’t come across. We enjoyed the scifi reference of the cocktail names more than the drinks themselves. Also, the cocktail menu failed to state prices. I do not like or respect that you feel so highly about your cocktail menu not to let the customer know the price in advance. The appetizer and entre menu were very nice. We ordered several dishes to share, including house-made pasta and the famous bass. All of the food, including the bass (a substantial portion meant for two), was very good. However, none of the items were particularly memorable. We chose not to order dessert. Partly because we had plenty to eat, and partly because Ted and Wally’s was around the corner. Overall, good, but very pricy. It was worth going, but we won’t be back.

Me and my boyfriends family had dinner for my boyfriends 30 th birthday. And I placed reservations about 4 weeks in advance and I unable to get any confirmation or reach anyone on a phone accept voice mail. So when I got my phone call back they got my date wrong in about 4 days earlier. It was absolutely wrong day. So I have to call back and explained and re confirmed that they got a correct date. Finally after I call about 4 times someone pick up the phone and I able to make sure correct date reservation is recorded. I was happy but very stressed out. So after all that in about 15 min someone call me back to confirm reservation again and to tell me that they will charge us additional 2 Bukhara if we bringing out own birthday cake. At that point I thought I should cancel and make reservation at another place but people, party of 6 already been notified of venue and I not want to change any planned to be polite to the invited guests. I thought after they put us trough messing up the date of our reservation by 4 days Rey could give us a free cake pass, but they still call back and lent us know about additional charges. So if anyone planning to have big party be aware, stay away to much hassle!!!!! And make reservations is to much!!!!! Feels like you dealing with bad costumer service for the price you have to pay for food. I would say service was very nice and we ordered rabbit, fish, and stake and it was amazing!!! they have good offer of sparkling or flat water they take plates and few people serving. also we had octopus appetizer, perry good!!! And they say that they serve and get their ingredients 50 mile radius so it is local accept sea food. we spend about 450 bulks or pinch more on 6 people, which is a lot and they include gratuities in it as well. All I can say they have to mature with reservations for sure!!! Service great and food great!!! I would go there again if I not have to go trough such a hardship with reservation and they deff can lower their prices!! I think they could get move business by doing this!

Pretentious & expensive, but the atmosphere is hip & one of the best in Omaha. I’ve mostly had exceptional meals here, but it can be inconsistent. A great place to impress a date.
