Was not impressed. We waited 45 minutes for tacos. Found out after 40 minutes that another server gave our food order to another table. Our chips and salsa were bland. Salsa seemed to be from a can. Food was bland. Service was slow.

Always nice! Love the atmosphere. The food isn’t crazy, you get what you order and it taste what it’s supposed to taste like. A very simple Mexican themed restaurant. Never been? Try it! Not only is it in the downstairs walk way down town. We always leave feeling good.

Ordered the Krab and Shrimp nachos and sopa de Diablo for main entree. The crabmeat was tender and delectable and there was plenty of cheese to coat the crispy chips. The soup was fresh and had the perfect ratio of meet to black beans to rice to okra. The margaritas never fail either. Great hole in the wall in the Old Market!

Located in the romantic Old Market Passageway this affordable Mexican dip in provides a relaxing atmosphere for quality Mexican staples such as steak salad, enchiladas, tacos, and more. At first glance it may seem higher end because of its location, and the food is good, but it is by no means gourmet nor a fine dining establishment. I will definitely return with friends

The atmosphere at Trini’s is interesting, different. If you like The Passageway downtown you will like it. The service is average. Now to the food. Simply put it does not compare to other Mexican Restaurants in the area. We had to ask for salsa… really? Even then we got a tiny bowl and had to pay for extra. Why are the chips served with the salsa different than the ones served with the nachos? Serve the nacho chips with everything and you get a higher rating Trini’s. The margaritas were not good! I got top shelf to begin with and switched to regular since the top shelf was not worth the price…but the regular tasted like dish soap (what I think dish soap would taste like). Chimichanga was okay and my daughter enjoyed the puffy tacos. But if your craving Mexican then I would only recommend Trini’s if the other restaurants in the area are too crowded.

Great atmosphere down below old market. Subpar food and a little pricy for what you get. You pay for chips and salsa, which I always find strange for lower end Mexican. . Small beer selection. I’d say it was a one time spot.

Trini’s is a quaint little place hidden in the passageway of the Old Market. If you enjoy black beans and rice or fish tacos, or if you are skeptical about trying fish tacos but are ready for the plunge, this is the place to go! This is a great little place to take people from out of town.
